Nürnberg, Feb. 13, 2009 – In the future Bühler Motor GmbH will focus its Nürnberg location on Research and Development, Prototype Construction, Sales and Administration. The production lines that up to now were located at Bühler headquarters in Nürnberg South will be moved to plants in Monheim and Hradec Králové (CZ).
„This decision has not been easy for us. In the past years we have tried to maintain production at the original Nürnberg site. However, in light of current market and competitive pressures, we are forced to consolidate production in locations where the majority of manufacturing has been for years and/or where individual lines can be integrated most efficiently into existing plants." The integration of the product lines into the lager plants in Monheim and Hradec Králové is a necessary step for Bühler Motor to guarantee the long-term success and ability to compete for the independently owned company.
The Workers' Council and management together are working on solutions to aid the apprpoximately 60 employees in Nürnberg affected by this.
